Pittsburgh Post-Gazette /

A debate among candidates for state attorney general is scheduled to be broadcast live at 7 p.m. Tuesday on televisions stations across the state, including KDKA+ in Pittsburgh.

Democratic candidate Eugene DePasquale and Republican Dave Sunday have both committed to take part, according to Nexstar Media Group, whose stations will air the debate. There are four other candidates: Rob Cowburn; Libertarian Party; Justin L. Magill, Constitution Party; Richard L. Weiss, Green Party; and Eric L. Settle, Forward Party. In a news release, Nexstar said, “All candidates on the ballot who meet eligibility criteria will be invited to participate.”

The debate will be moderated by WHTM-TV Channel 27 anchor and journalist Dennis Owens. In the news release, Nexstar said Mr. Owens will pose questions “focused on current local and regional issues impacting communities across Pennsylvania.”

The current attorney general, Michelle Henry, was appointed to the position by Gov. Josh Shapiro last year and is not running for election.
