Twelve people from Western Pennsylvania and a doctor from Indiana have been charged by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh with conspiring to distribute oxycodone.
A Tuesday release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office said Dr. Martin J. Maassen, 82, of Lafayette, Ind., was charged with distribution of a Schedule II controlled substance. He was also charged with unlawful distribution of an amphetamine commonly known as Adderall.
The release said the conspiracy spanned January 2019 to July 2024. Five of those charged are from Duquesne or West Mifflin.
