“Almost Home,” the fifth album from Pittsburgh-based band Ghost Hounds, will arrive on March 21 and feature collaborations with singer-songwriters Patty Griffin and Lainey Wilson.
Griffin appears with new Ghost Hounds singer SAVNT on “Long Ride Home,” which its label, Gibson Records, describes as “a meditation on grief” and “the bittersweet reality of losing a loved one.”
Wilson turns up on “Before You Leave,” described as marking “the emotional culmination of the couple’s relationship.”
In its release, Gibson describes Ghost Hounds — known for its Stones-y blend of rock, blues and soul — as a “country roots-rock band.”
The announcement comes with the release of “House a Home,” a single following “You’ll Never Find Me,” which reached the Top 20 at Country Radio CDX.
To celebrate the album, Ghost Hounds will be giving away one Epiphone electric guitar and one acoustic guitar, each hand-signed by the band. Music fans can enter the Ghost Hounds Epiphone giveaway. Winners will be chosen after March 20 at midnight and announced within 14 days.
The current lineup of Ghost Hounds is SAVNT, guitarist Tyler Chiarelli (formerly of Florida Georgia Line), fiddler Kristin Weber (Lorde, Margo Price, Dolly Parton), guitarist and main lyricist Thomas Tull, bassist Bennett Miller, keyboardist Joe Munroe and drummer Sydney Driver.
