Elon Musk plans McKees Rocks town hall Sunday during his swing through Pa.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk will host a town hall in support of former President Donald Trump’s presidential bid on Sunday in McKees Rocks during a swing through the battleground state of Pennsylvania.

A release Saturday from Mr. Musk’s America PAC said it will be held at 2 p.m. at the Roxian Theatre on Chartiers Avenue. The release said Mr. Musk will be promoting absentee voting and early voting as well as voter registration, noting the deadline to register in Pennsylvania is Monday.

For some of his previous events in the state, Mr. Musk said attendance would be open to people who had already voted and who pledged to support the Second Amendment right to bear arms. The brief release for the Allegheny County appearance did not describe any requirement for attendees, but a signup page for admission on the America PAC website said attendees must sign a petition to support the First and Second amendments.

GOP senatorial candidate David McCormick’s campaign on Saturday said he would be appearing with Mr. Musk.

Mr. Musk’s event follows Republican Trump’s appearance Saturday evening at the airport in Latrobe as he campaigns against Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris.

The Associated Press reported that Mr. Musk’s first solo appearance for Trump occurred Thursday in the Philadelphia suburb of Folsom, where he encouraged people to vote early.

The event at Ridley High School's auditorium featured the world's richest man speaking onstage in front of a large U.S. flag for roughly 15 minutes before taking questions from the crowd, many of whom wore “Make America Great Again” hats, AP reported.

Some in the crowd questioned Mr. Musk's entreaties to vote early, reflecting the possibility that Republicans are still persuading their supporters to embrace early voting after Trump spent years demonizing the method.

The crowd rose to its feet and took cellphone videos as Mr. Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of the social media platform X, walked onstage. They remained standing during his remarks and cheered loudly after he said the U.S. Constitution needs to be upheld.

Mr. Musk has become a major booster of Trump this campaign season. On Thursday evening, he cast the election in dire terms.

“I haven’t been politically active before. I’m politically active now because I think the future of America and the future of civilization is at stake,” he said, according to AP.

NBC News said Mr. Musk followed that up with another town hall Friday night in Oaks, Montgomery County, where he said all voting should be in person, despite earlier statements about mail-in and early voting.

Pennlive.com reported that Mr. Musk would hold a town hall in Harrisburg on Saturday night hosted by a mega-church with ties to Christian nationalism.

The event was to be held at the Life Center.

Christian nationalists believe that the United States was founded as a Christian nation and that Christian biblical values should hold power across government, public schools and public life.
