Woman dies after being hit by car in Jefferson Hills

A 26-year-old woman has died after being struck by a car in Jefferson Hills Wednesday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

Jessica Schroeder, of West Elizabeth, was pronounced deceased at a hospital.

The victim was hit by a car at the 2200 block of Route 837 in Jefferson Hills just before 7:40 p.m., in front of the Shop N’ Go convenience store, according to the medical examiner. She was transported to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

It is currently unclear what caused the accident.
